A superb effort over a hugely diverse challenging course and distance. Probably close to 6,400k in total including route changes. From +40ºC temps in Cape York in Queensland down to below 0ºC overnight crossing the Australian Alps. This was a massive daily challenge of human endeavour that has been almost faultless in execution of navigation and endurance as the daily rhythm of riding into the late evening and away before dawn unfolded down through eastern Australia.

Steve Halligan we salute you!

Of the eleven race starters in Cape York only two other riders remain on the prescribed course, both with determination to ride the full distance and follow the original race route. Brendan Corbin at age 30 the youngest and least experienced is heading into the Barrington Tops crossing after a few days down the beachside towns of the NSW mid-north coast and Ben Cadby, still in Queensland but currently on a safety weather re-route about to arrive in Miles Q and resume the race route. We wish Brendan and Ben safe riding , fair tail winds and weather as they journey south on their quest to finish this epic ride.
